The lodges are ideally situated to enjoy all the activities Wester Ross has to offer. For fishing, loch fishing permits are available in the village and many fish off the pier for mackerel .
There are many fine beaches within 15 minutes drive. Favourites are Mellon Udrigle, Firemore and Redpoint. All are fine stretches of sandy beach which are never crowded and often can be enjoyed in complete solitude.
Whale watching tours are available in Gairloch, just 20 minutes drive away where there is also a scenic golf course that runs down to the shore.
There are slipways into loch ewe at Aultbea and Inverasdale for canooists etc.
Mountain bikes can be hired in Gairloch and pony trekking is available there too.
For gardeners, visiting Inverewe Gardens, just 10 minutes drive from the lodges, is a must.
Once in your lodge the peace and tranquillity of the area can be truly enjoyed. Many visitors comment, after a day out in the area , that the highlight of their day was to sit in front of the patio windows in their well equipped lodge and view the often magnificent sunsets.
