Particularly after Inverness you will find the scenery is very picturesque and you will probably find yourself stopping to take photo's. Be aware that public toilets are few and far between.

Rogie Falls, just before Garve, is a nice leg stretch / dog stop with a car park, public toilet and short woodland trail to the river (you might see salmon leaping). Longer trails available

Corrieshalloch Gorge, at the Braemore Junction, is another great stop with short or longer walk available. 

The new visitor centre, with refreshments and toilets is now open. For National Trust Members the whole site is free. If you are not a member there is £5 parking fee and no further cost to use the facilities and explore the gorge viewpoints and walks.
